Willa Mae Golden Teacher Training Scholarships
As part of our efforts to increase the pipeline of Black Montessori educators in the US and overseas, we created our most highly sought after Willa Mae Golden Teacher Training scholarship to provide support for Black educators to access MACTE-accredited training programs or AMI or AMS.
Five selected applicants will receive $2,000, which will be sent directly to the training programs to support teachers with the cost of training. This applies to those who are training as guides, training of trainers, and administrators in eligible Montessori programs. Money can be used toward fees and books and materials as well as housing and transportation to attend the in-person part of the courses.
Additionally, we aim to support teachers through their training by providing resources, job listings, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a community of support.
Eligibility Requirements

Proof of application/acceptance into an eligible program
Financial plan to complete the training
We only provide funding for those in MACTE-accredited training programs or AMI or AMS, with the exception of certain Adolescent programs. Preference is give to those already accepted into a program.
