“When it comes to expression, I’m a firm believer that you should always consult your inner child. Curiosity and playfulness is the drive to acquiring a balance of individuality, collaboration, and critical thought. That’s what I intend to strike within this piece. I included the pink tower as the concept of elevated thought, the nest and egg as symbols of re-utilization and growth, and the bird, a creature that flows fluidly throughout the blue sky, marked forever by newfound knowledge. Working instinctively and logically in a world that’s grown too fast for itself is what I marvel about Montessori and her methods.” - Deon Reed
